Year 1

        Welcome to Year 1.

Its the second half of the summer term and it is great to learn that you have all been doing so much, from cooking, gardening, skipping and making volcanoes.  Yes! You can make a volcano too.Watch the videos below to see how you can try these science experiments. (Some adult supervision may be needed.)

Our focus this half term is Science based activities. We are going to start with 'Animals and their habitats'.

We will continue to update parents/Carers as often as we can through Marvellous Me, and notify you of any learning tasks we set for the children whilst they are at home.  The children will be able to complete online tasks through either the links below, or Marvellous Me.  Many tasks will be practical things you can do at home without the computer.

This week I have set daily Maths and English activities.  I have tried to provide a variety of activities that will refresh and revise skills.  If you finish these, then please use Purple Mash and complete some games and activities.

Times Table Rock Stars and Spelling Shed should also be used.

The topic is starting with Animals and their habitats, which will continue weekly as well as a PSHE task. I would recommend that you discuss this with your children. The children will be learning about changes and how this makes them feel.

Please email me with any questions or queries and I will respond as soon as I can. Please keep in touch and let us know what else you have been doing.
