Year 2

Summer 2 Week 2 (Week commencing 8/6/20)

This week I have set Maths activities and the English tasks use the book 'Monsters - An Owner's Guide'.  There is a link to me reading the book below and a link to the Word / PowerPoint documents of the book is also below.  There is also an alternative set of English tasks that focus on grammar and punctuation.

Purple Mash tasks have been set (5 maths and 5 English for the week as well as computing and art).

There is a science task and PSHE task for this week.

I have also included a maths paper and SPaG paper for you to complete if you wish (answers included).

Times Tables Rock Stars and Spelling Shed should also be used.

I will respond to queries and emails as much as I can throughout the school day, getting back to you as soon as possible to support you in your continuation of learning and activities.

Please keep in touch and let the Year 2 team know what you have been doing.

If you have a specific request for learning activities that you can not find or access online, please email me and I will see if I can obtain them.

What about PE?

Never fear, Joe Wicks is here!

Joe Wicks will be streaming a live 30 minute PE session, suitable for KS1 upwards, every weekday morning at 9am.  The first session is on Monday 23rd March.  Minimal equipment and space is needed.  This is a great way to keep your children active at a time when it may be difficult to do so.  It looks like fun too! Here is the link to his Youtube channel:

Premier Sports Stay Active

This link will allow you to sign in to the Premier Sports Stay Active site.  This has been set up for parents and has lots of resources that you can use with your children to promote physical activity, health and wellbeing and lifeskills.  Well worth a look!
